In our Sunday gathering, Corbin cast a vision for being the hidden disciple, and then gave the practices and rhythms we will be committing to this year. We want to lay them out here for everyone to have:
Daily Rhythms - 3x of prayer a day
Morning - The Lord’s Prayer - simply recite or go line-by-line and let it inform your prayers. The prayer can be found in Luke 11:2-4.
Mid-Day - Prayer for the Lost - those close to you but far from God. Feel free to use the Müller list in your Bible Reading Plan Journal.
Evening - Gratitude - thank God for all that he is doing in your life and the life of those around you.
Weekly Rhythms - 2 Prayer Rooms
Every Wednesday from 12-1PM at the church building.
Every Sunday Morning at 7:30AM at the church building.

Week of Unbroken Prayer
We will have a 24/7 Prayer Room starting August 5th at midnight and ending August 11th at 11:59PM. This is in partnership with churches around the USA who have been praying since midnight on January 1st. Here is more information on this movement: Year of Unbroken Prayer. We will have more information on signing up for time slots in the coming months.
We welcome you to join us in any and all of these rhythms this year. We are excited and expectant for all that God is going to do in the city of Denver. Come, Holy Spirit!
Coming Up at The Heights…
Connect Class | Sunday, January 14th | After the 10:45AM service
Are you new to The Heights? Have you been coming for a while but want to get more connected here? Connect class is THE way to get connected to life here at The Heights. In this short, one-hour class directly after the 10:45 AM gathering, we will go over what we believe, how you can belong, and how you can grow as a disciple of Jesus here. Lunch and childcare are always provided.
Women’s Bible Study | The Gospel of John - Starting the week of January 21st
This spring we are continuing our study in the book of John using a study created by Bible Study Fellowship. Each week will include five days of personal study followed by group discussion. Biblical commentary put together by BSF's team of world renowned scholars is also available for additional study and reflection. You are more than welcome to jump in to the study this spring, even if you did not start with us in the fall!
We will be offering this study on Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings. The Wednesday morning session will have childcare! Sign up for your preferred session at one of the links below.
LAST WEEK TO SIGN UP! Men’s Bible Study | Proverbs: Wisdom for Life | starting January 24th | Wednesday’s at 6AM
Here at The Heights, we really do believe that one of the primary ways Jesus changes our lives is through Bible reading. Not because reading our Bible is some religious task that stores up brownie points with God — but because we believe that God actually speaks through the Bible; and when God speaks, new life is created. From the creation narrative of Genesis, all the way to Jesus’ ministry — it is spoken words that lead to renewal and life where there was death. Join the Heights men next year as we study the book of Proverbs using a study created by The Village Church. Outside of the study on Wednesday mornings, each week will include 1-2 hours of homework.
Lovewell Outreach Training | Sunday, January 28th | 6PM
We, at the Heights Church, long to take seriously the mission of Jesus to care for the poor. Lovewell Colfax is our primary strategy when it comes to doing that in our neighborhood, specifically with our unhoused neighbors. This training is the FIRST STEP basic training for getting to serve with Lovewell Colfax! Come learn more about Lovewell Colfax, what our weekly outreaches entail, & how you can serve with us this year. We are pumped to have you join us as we look forward to a year of committing ourselves to those experiencing poverty in our city. Dinner will be provided.
Member Night | Sunday, February 4th | 4-7PM
Twice a year, we get together to share a meal and have some important discussions as a church family. We also celebrate what God has done in the last year, and look ahead to what is coming up in the new year. This meeting is for members or members in process. You don't want to miss this! Childcare will be provided during the meeting portion.
